Being in Tokyo for the sakura season my plans were to go to most famous places to see the cherry blossoms everywhere in the capital. I think I did pretty well tso it’s time for me to start this blog’s first series, sakura overload !
My sakura marathon started on March 30, at Shinjuku Gyoen, just before full bloom. I chose this park to meet the lovely Nicole who was traveling to Tokyo for the first time, hopping it would be less crowded than the others because you have to pay the entrance and alcohol is prohibited. The no alcohol policy obviously helped with the lack of salaryman squads drinking in the park but it was still full of housewives, students enjoying spring break and tourists.
Now please enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms !
